Disney Releases Never-Before-Seen Footage From Aladdin

  

In honour of the late Robin Williams who played the role of the Genie in one of the best animated characters of all time, Disney has released some incredible outtakes from the 1992 classic film Aladdin.

To celebrate the release of Aladdin's Diamond Edition, Disney is including never before seen scenes of Robin Williams as the Genie on the Blu-ray pack. The new content includes some epic Jafar mockery and amazing zingers after he rescues his buddy Aladdin from drowning.

Musker had this to say on Good Morning America about Williams’s legacy "There was no one else that could be the Genie and fortunately he agreed to do it. And he worked so hard. We recorded him in four hour sessions, and he would be going four hours straight…by the end he was just drenched, he had so much energy and so much passion”
 

Animator Eric Goldberg also said this about him “Aside from being funny as anything, he was such a warm person, he was the Genie, it was bigger than life”.
