It wasn't the outcome Raheem Sterling would have expected, as
he played against his former team and friends in Liverpool.
Liverpool were coming back
from a defeat against Crystal Palace
in the Anfield stadium before they went
on the international break, and yes they outshine the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium as they walloped them 1 –
4.
Watford
1- 2 Manchester United
Watford's
Captain Troy Deeney scored at both
ends as his team lost at home to Manchester
United. Memphis Dempay who has been
left out of United's previous two matches returned and he quickly put his name
on the scorer's sheet as he connected to a cross by Ander Herrera from the right wing, for Depay to side-foot a volley
into the bottom corner. Ighalo was
unable to register his 8th goal, but he did well as he was brought down in the
eighteen yard box by Rojo as Deeney stepped
up and converted the penalty high past De
Gea to put the host back on level term but not quite long Deeney then scored
a terrible own goal to gift United the win, he diverted Schweinsteiger's rebound into his net.
Man of the Match: Memphis Depay
Next match for both teams, Watford who are now without a win in last two matches
will face Aston Villa and Manchester
United will face Leicester in the
League but they will first play against PSV
Eindhoven in the Cham
Chelsea
1 - 0 Norwich
Is Chelsea back on winning ways? Well that's not a question I for me
to answer instead let us take a quick look at their match on Saturday. Chelsea defeated Norwich to earn them their 4th winning of the season. Diego Costa helped Chelsea with the 1st
win this month as they have lost previous 3 matches, he scored his 4th goal of
the season as he ended a seven game drought without a goal. The
defeat leaves Norwich with only one win in 8matches and gives Chelsea their
third clean sheet in their last 16 premier league matches, the winning also saw
Cesc Fabregas provide his first
assist in 10games.
Man of the Match: Eden Hazard
Next match for both teams, Norwich take on Arsenal
at the Carrow Road next Sunday, and Chelsea takes on Tottenham on Sunday.
Everton
4 - 0 Aston Villa
Two goals by two wonderful
kid gave Everton a deserved four zero against Aston Villa. Ross Barkley and Romelu
Lukaku were the goal scorers. Aston Villa are without a win in 12 games
since the opening day of the season, they have five points after 13 matches is
their worst return in any of their previous top-flight campaigns. Everton have been in imperious form from the
start of the month, with Arona kone
getting a Hat-trick against Sunderland,
a draw at Upton Park against West ham and a win against Aston Villa.
Man of the Match: Gerard Deulofeu
Next Match for both teams, Aston Villa set to have a date against Watford next
week Saturday while Everton take a long trip to the 12,000 Vitality Stadium,
home to Bournemouth.
Newcastle
0 - 3 Leicester
Jamie Vardy
doesn't want to stop scoring and can't stop scoring as he now has 13 goals in
13 games for Leicester this season and has equalled Van Nisterooyl's record of scoring in 10 consecutive matches.
Vardy scored his team's first
goal in the added minutes of the first half of the game as he latched on to a Leonardo Ulloa pass, cut inside Moussa Sissoko and drilled in a low
shot to separate both sides going into the tunnel for the break. The win was
Leicester's fourth in a row in the league and took them top as they leapfrogged
Manchester City, who lost at home to Liverpool, and Arsenal, who were beaten at
West Brom.
Man of the match - Jamie Vardy
Next match for both teams, Newcastle will face former manager Alan Pardew's
Crystal Palace side, while Leicester will host Manchester United.
Southampton
0 - 1 Stoke
After series of poor results,
Stoke have now won two games on the row, by the same score line.
Krkic Bojan
has been in superb form of late as he got his third goal of the season with a
clever flick over Southampton's goal
keeper Stekelenburg on the 10th
minute. The Potters climb into the top
half after their fifth win in seven league matches. Southampton, meanwhile,
drop to eighth after they saw their own six-match unbeaten run end with a curiously
ineffective performance.
Man of the match: Marko
Arnautovic
Next match for both teams, Stoke visit Sunderland next Saturday, while
Southampton will be without Striker Graziano
Pellè booked after he deliberately handed the ball which will make him seat
out the next match against Manchester City as they travel to the Etihad Stadium
to face Manchester.
Swansea
2 - 2 Bournemouth
It was a tale of first half
goals as all four goals were scored in the first half. Bournemouth started the scoring, two quick goals, Joshua King and Dan Gosling put the visitors in control as they scored on the 10th
and 26th minute to put pressure on the Swansea
coach Garry Monk. Swansea have not
won at home since they have defeated Manchester United in August and they fought
gallantly to secure a draw as Andre
Ayew's back heel and Jonjo Shelvey's
penalty brought Swansea level at the end of a breathless first half.
Man of the match: Andre Ayew
Next match for both teams: the next group of matches for both teams are very
decisive and they will either put them in the league or out of the league, Swansea
face Liverpool, then a visit to the Liberty Stadium to face Leicester and will
face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Bournemouth host Everton
next, then visit Chelsea before facing Manchester United on home soil.
West
Brom 2 - 1 Arsenal
Arsenal blew the chance to go
top of the Premier League as West Brom fought back from a goal down to beat
them at The Hawthorns. Arsenal went a goal up through Oliver Giroud who nodded in Ozil's
free kick on the 28th minute before James
Morrison volleyed past Petr Cech
to level on the 35th minute. Not quite long, Mikel Arteta diverted James
McClean's cross into his own net. The free- kick by Ozil is his seventh
consecutive assists in the Premier League appearances and his 11th this season.
Man of the match: James McClean
Next match for both teams: West Brom face West Ham away at next Sunday, while Arsenal
face Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League this week before are away to Norwich
on Sunday.
Manchester City 1 - 4 Liverpool
Four first half goals, two
scorers each from both sides but one team has 3 and the other has one. Well, I
wanted to rack your brain. An own goal by Mangala
and a goals by Coutinho and Firmino gave Liverpool three goals lead
before Aguero pulled one back with a
fierce shot from outside the Box to mark his comeback. The first half ended with the scores at 1 - 3
but Manchester City resumed the second half as they searched for more goals but
to the contrary they received one more from the Martin Skrtel as he blasted home a thunderous strike to grant Jurgen Klopp a much needed away win.
Man of the match: Philippe
Coutinho
Next match for both teams: Manchester City travel to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday before facing Southampton on Saturday. Liverpool on
the other hand are also in Europe, but in the Europa League on and they face Bordeaux at Anfield before welcoming
Jonjo Shelvy and his Swansea team mates on Sunday.
Tottenham
4 - 1 West Ham
After having a torrid start to
the new season, Kane now has 8goals
in 5matches as Tottenham have equalled a club
record by going 12 Premier League games unbeaten after Harry Kane's two goals
helped them comfortably beat West Ham. Harry Kane got the first goal in the
23rd minute as he got the deflected ball from Dele Alli shot to score from close range. His second came in the
second half in the 50th as he took a well-struck shot from the edge of the box,
after West Ham's Defender, James Tomkins
gifted the ball to Christian Eriksen,
who found Kane at the edge of the box before releasing a rocket.
Man of the match - Dele Alli
Next match for both sides: West Ham's next game is on Saturday against West
Brom at Upton Park while Tottenham travels to Azerbaijan to face FK Qarabag in the Europa League, before
facing Chelsea on Sunday.
Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Sunderland
Jermain Defoe
handed Sunderland their first away win of the season. The game was poised to
end in a draw but thanks to a defensive error by Scott Dann as he gifted Defoe the chance to poke the ball home. The hard-working Defoe, who fired wide in the
first half, chased down the Palace defender, pushed the ball past keeper Wayne Hennessey and slotted in..
Man of the Match: Jermain Defoe
Next match for both sides: Sunderland are at home to Stoke on Saturday, before facing
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool in December, Crystal Palace
face Newcastle next week, as it will be Pardew
welcoming his former team.
