Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Reviews + Song Of The Week

Once again it is another beautiful Monday, another beautiful week and of course another episode of Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review. I hope you all had a good musically weekend because I did and with that been said let go straight to the business of the day.

1.      Y.Q - Aiye Kan: Very good dance-able beat, all thanks to Fliptyce and of course Y.Q made it groovy with his sweet melody and voice. The song sounds more of old school probably because of the chorus and the instrumental but it has good lyrics that we can all relate with. I rate the song 7/10.

2.      Stormrex- Bombo Tete: Since the first day I heard Stormrex, I fell in love with her and I mean that literally and musically. There is a way she delivers her songs that just pleases the mind. Bombo Tete is another cool song from her and I rate this song 7/10.

3.      DJ Smallz ft Ycee X Milli- Yoruba Demon: I had to check the name of this song twice just to be sure I was listening to the right song. Once again this is another Choc Boiz hit and DJ Smallz is the artiste behind this. With the help of his label mate Milli and the Jagaban himself Ycee, DJ Smallz gave us a classic song, so so dope I must say. I rate this song 9/10.

4.      Endia- Roll it: Not the typical kind of song Endia does but this is a lovely dance-all tune for the club. The beat and delivery were on point and I rate the song 7/10.

5.      Tekno ft Sele Bobo- Maria: Alhaji Tekno is not slowing down at all and if he should continue at this pace, then I wouldn't be surprise if an album should drop. Maria is another hit song from Tekno and he had the help of Sele Bobo who gave the song this true African feeling. I rate the song 8/10.

6.      Olu Maintain ft Cynthia Morgan X Seyi Shay X Victora Kamini X Yemi Alade X Emma Nyra- Nawti  Baddest Remix: This song would have been the baddest remix just like the name said if and only if the tempo of the song could have been reduced. The whole new reggae style that was infused into the beat made it sound off in a way and to the entire featured artistes I say thumbs up for not making the song boring. I rate it a 6/10.

7.      Sean Tizzle- Jalolo: Nice instrumental and cool lyrics but the song would need a good video to go far. The song might also get much attention from the elders because of the borrowed line he used in the chorus. I rate the 6/10.
8.      Tiwa Savage: The Mavin first lady announced her return to the industry with an album, the new mother who has been off the music scene because of the addition to her family released her sophomore album titled #IAMRED some days ago and here are the songs we are reviewing.

Adura: Like I have said, anybody that does any prayer song would definite get good review because the song would contain good instrumental and sensible lyrics and that is exactly what this song has. Though the lines of the chorus sounds like Ebenezer Obey kind lines and Tiwa didn’t do too well when she first sang in Yoruba in the first verse but she was better in the second verse and that was the saving grace for this song. I rate this song 7/10.
Standing Ovation ft Olamide: With the help of King Badoosneh, Tiwa made sure Standing Ovation lived up to it expectations. Nice and groovy beat and of course nice delivery pattern from Olamide and Tiwa also bought in the Sneh groove into it which sounded very cool. I rate this song 8/10.

Our Song for the Week without any doubt goes to DJ Smallz ft Ycee X Milli- Yoruba Demon.
The Recommended Song of the Week would be Tekno ft Sele Bobo- Maria
