English Premiership Team of the Week

Goal Keeper - Joe Hart (Manchester City)  Despite conceding two goals to surrender their early lead, it was his brilliant saves that gave the citizen's a deserve win. The England keeper kept the Citizens in the game and ensured that they won the game with two more goals coming from Yaya Toure and Bony scoring against his erstwhile club.

Defender - Ryan Shawcross (Stoke)
Ryan has been remarkable ever since his come back from back injury. Ryan Shawcross now has helped stoke to a run of clean sheets and he has played more than 500 minutes without Stoke conceding a goal.  Despite the game against West Ham ending in a goaless draw, it was definitely a game full blocks and saves. I would regard it as the best 0-0 draw I've seen in a very long while.

Defender - Laurent Koscielny  (Arsenal)
Koscielny over the weekend was one of the reasons why Arsenal got the away win at the Villa Park. Fighting off challenges against the fore front of the The Villians, he was rock solid for the Gunners and has put in strong performances in his appearances after the Paris attacks, hopefully he continues in such form maybe Arsenal could fight on to win the league.

Defender - Robert Huth (Leicester City)
Most times, Leicester defenders don't receive credits, main reason been because of the hottest duo in the league Mahrez and Vardy who week in week out are getting assists or goals for the club. The former Stoke man Huth has been a stalwart in Claudio Ranieri's defense and was constantly a pain in the neck for Chelsea's frontline, helping Leicester to their best ever stat to a premiership season.  Hopefully they continue in this bright form, and who knows they might win the league.

Defender - Leighton Baines (Everton)
The left-back has returned from injury and gradually has been making waves. Well his comeback was rather quite maybe because he was confirmed to his defensive duties to help his team to a draw away at the Carrow Road.  He was brilliant and helped the team to keep at bay ever ranging Norwich players who have not been impressive this season.

Midfielder - Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)
Just as the saying old wine taste better, Ever since returning from injury, the midfielder has slotted easily and got himself a goal in win at the Villa Park after he dispossessed Gueye and initiated a counter-attack which resulted in him sweeping home from Ozil's unselfish square pass.

Midfielder - Georginio Wijnaldum (Newcastle United)
The Dutchman got his seventh league goal of the season as he helped The Magpies secure their forth win of the season over the spurs who have been in superb form all through the season. The lost handed Mauricio Pochettino's men a dent in their unbeaten run in the league of 14games.

Midfielder - Joshua King (Bournemouth AFC)
The former starlet of the red devils Joshua King stunned his former club Manchester United as his second-half goal earned AFC Bournemouth a famous 2-1 Barclays Premier League win. With Chris Smalling joining the injury list, it gave the young man ample space to torment the United's defense.  The win over United made them switch places with Chelsea and they moved to 14th on the table.

Midfielder - Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City) - Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta is probably still wondering how Mahrez found the back of the net from the right flank. I still wonder, who team has got more in-form partners in the EPL season apart from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez who have been the best duo so far this season, they helped each other to a goal and an assist.

Striker - Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)
It was definitely a  big week for the Frenchman, first he got his first hattrick in midweek and over the weekend he topped it off with a fourth goal, his 50th goal in the league thanks from the penalty spot after Theo Walcott was foul in the penalty area by Alan Hutton. Olivier Giroud's 50th Barclays Premier League goal came on his 113 appearance for the gunners and it  helped send Arsenal to the top of the table in a 2-0 victory over struggling Aston Villa at Villa Park before Leicester win over defending Champions.  He became the third quickest Arsenal striker to score 50 Premier League goals for the club. Only Thierry Henry and Ian Wright have achieved the feat quicker.

Striker - Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
15 goals in 16 matches, this was definitely was Vardy wished for at the start of the season, his wish I guess should be, I just want to play another season with The foxes, now he's gone from a Villian to an hero in less than 6months.  Both he and his partner Mahrez did the damage for Claudio Ranieri's side, both finding the net to take their combined top-flight tally this term to 26 goals, 11 more than the entire Chelsea squad have scored. I'm very sure Leicester will be on cloud nine with their two goal poachers, well I pray they resist the offer to sell either of them in the January transfer window which almost here.

Coach of the Week: Arsene Wenger
My pick's reason was very simple, despite various injury worries in the camp of the gunners, it never deterred them in winning week in week out, I'm in a state of confusion because I don't know what will happen when their famous talisman returns.

So here's my team of the week 16 set of matches, if you have got any deductions or additions kindly let us know. We get inspired when we see replies to out articles. Do have a nice day.
