Ibenge who
is combining his role as head coach of Les Leopards with his job at local side,
Vita Club said that he was keen on working in Nigeria after coming up
against some Nigerian sides in the CAF Champions League in recent years. “It
will be good to work in Nigeria at some point in my career, I remember our game
(Vita Club) against Kano Pillars a couple years ago in Kano. The stadium was
filled up and the fans applauded us despite our victory against the home team. We
had a different experience when we played against Enyimba in Aba as the fans
were hostile, but that doesn't still change my love for Nigerian
Football. I like where I am now, but in future, it will be nice to work
in Nigeria” he said
Ibenge will
seek to lead his country to a second African Nations Championship title when
they take on Mali in the final on Sunday at the Amahoro National
Stadium.
