I Accept My Sack In Good Faith- Babangida

Former Super Eagles winger Tijani Babangida was on Wednesday sacked as the personal assistant to Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh after The Technical and Development Committee of the NFF made an unanimously decision.

The FA rose from its meeting in Abuja on Wednesday to announce their decision to sack Babangida from serving as Oliseh’s Personal Assistant. The Technical and Development Committee of the NFF had unanimously approved the recommendation and the General Secretary was therefore authorize to follow the due process in effecting Babangida's disengagement.

Babangida said he wasn’t he sure why the NFF took the decision but since it was the decision of the football house, he accepted it in good faith and said he will always pray for the progress of the country’s football. He said “Serving in the national team, mostly with Sunday Oliseh has been a privilege for me and I am happy for that. I have no details of my disengagement for now, but I must say that I bear no grudge against anybody at the FA or elsewhere, and I will always be happy to serve my country anytime I am called upon. I really don’t see this situation affecting my love or passion for the game, it is like the job of coaches which comes and goes. So as a Nigerian, I will always be happy to serve my nation.”
