Manchester United Are Playing Sparkling Football

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal claims that his side sparkling football shown in the last two games has got his team believing they can still revive their Barclays Premier League title hopes.

Even though Van Gaal's side are still 10 points behind leaders Leicester City and five behind fourth-placed Arsenal ahead of Sunday's trip to Chelsea, the Dutchman revealed that his players can sense the renewed optimism around Old Trafford.

He said “We have the feeling and that's because we are winning two times in a row and with sparking football. With goals and with clean sheets against opponents who were in great form because Stoke City, for example, played Liverpool off the pitch in the Capital One Cup and lost on penalties. Also today Michael Carrick said to me that he has the same feeling. The competition is still not finished, not for Manchester United and not for the other teams”. I have that feeling, I have said that always. Only Crystal Palace and Arsenal in this season were better than Manchester United. Southampton here were equally bad. It's not a difference in my feeling but we have to show it in a row of games that you win because in this competition everything is possible. Our league shall start again and that's very important, but we don't need to exaggerate. It's very difficult to beat Chelsea because they haven't lost since Guus Hiddink has been there”.
