NPFL Update

The Nigeria professional football league resumed its 2015/2016 football season,with newly promoted side plateau united defeating Niger tornadoes, this was the first match of the new season played on Saturday 20^th February 2016.

On Sunday other games kicked off  at different centres , it is also a season of surprises with defending champions Enyimba International of Aba losing 1- nil on the road to Rivers United ,but Kano Pillars was the only team that recorded home victory .The surprise of the day was that FC Ifeanyi Ubah, MFM FC,Lobi stars, Wikki tourist all traveled on the road and got their desired result by claiming victory over their respective opponents at home,which is a good way to start the season .

Heartland and Warri Wolves share the spoils as they played a 0-0 draw, Ikorodu United and Abia warriors also managed a 1-1 draw, there was no vanquish no victor as Sunshine stars of Akure played an entertaining 1-1 draw with Akwa United .This is the full result below:
