Photo Of An Ageless Woman And Her Twin Daughters That Made The Internet Gaga

A family photo of a woman and her twin daughters has become an online sensation as people around the world struggle to figure out which one is the mother as social media users found it difficult to say which woman is the mother in an image that appears to show triplets  not a pair of twins and their mom.

Kaylan Mahomes, a high school student from Indianapolis, took to Twitter to share a car selfie featuring her twin Kyla and their mother last week with the caption “Mom, twin & me”. Surprising this image has taken the internet by storm has it has been retweeted more than 20,000 times since it was posted on January 28. In the picture, the three women were sitting in the car, two women in the front both have their hair parted in the center, the woman in the backseat has hers parted to the side. With the women in the center and right having similar eyebrows, many began to wonder who is who.  More than 31,000 people liked the mysterious photo, with many people commenting on how the three women look like sisters, while others begged Kaylan to tell them which one is her mother.

Twitter user @JustBeinJustice wrote “Just tell your sisters to put on their seat belts”  and Kaylan responded by sharing an emoji of smiley faces crying with laughter saying “I only have one sister”. @ayeeyoslim wrote “I can't even tell y'all look like triplets”. In the comments section of the post, Kaylan said she is the one on the far right and this lead many to deduce that her mother is on the left. Some insisted that a mother would never sit in the backseat, so if Kaylan is on the right in the photo it has to be her mother who is sitting next to her.

 
A few days later, Kaylan confirmed a hunch that @KingColorado0's had when she said that her mother is the woman on the left in the black blazer.  Many people who shared the mind-blowing photo used the hashtag #blackdontcrack, which refers to the notion that African-American skin doesn't wrinkle or age.  @Sneakers1984 tweeted “Not believing these mother/daughter stories no more.....Imma need to start seeing birth certificates #BlackDontCrack”. @Cdavis 295 asked: “Seriously though...Who is the Mom? #blackdontcrack”

And a few days later, Kaylan shared a video of them sitting in the same position in the car, commenting that her mother is indeed the one on the far left. She wrote “My mom thought it was a pic” as the picture showed Kaylan and Kyla bursting with laughter after they realized their mother was posing for a picture.  In response to their sudden social media fame, Kaylan started an Instagram account titled 'momtwinandme' to share more photos and videos of her stunning family. In less than 24 hours, the page has earned more than 11.6 followers who are clearly excited to see more images of this flawless trio.
