Tom Bergeron's Mom Passes Away 4 Months After His Dad

Tom Bergeron announced some sad news Saturday, he said his mother Catherine “Kay” Bergeron, has passed away, just four months after the Dancing With the Stars' father Adrian Raymond “Ray” Bergeron died at age 81 after battling cancer.

Tom wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him with his parents “Four months apart. Together forever. #RIPMom”. In addition to Tom, Kay and Ray are survived by daughter Maureen Vallieres, four granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.  Last October, just before his dad passed away, Tom missed an episode of Dancing With the Stars to be by his bedside. After Raymond's death, Tom returned to the ballroom and paid tribute to his father.

Dancing With the Stars is set to begin its 22nd season on March 21. While some cast members, such as Jodie Sweetin and Ginger Zee, have been confirmed, the full roster will be revealed Tuesday on GMA. Tom tweeted Sunday “Thank you so much for your words of support & sympathy. I'll miss @GMA Tues. for my Mom's services, but can't wait to get back to work 3/21”
