1. Timi Dakolo- The Vow: I won’t waste much time telling you how lovely this video is because there are no words to describe the simplicity and yet originality in the concept of this video. I had to watch this video like 5 times and listen to the song proper before I understood the concept of Timi first walking away from the girl at the beginning, genius concept from the directors. Yes much credit to Cobhams and Ojuola Asuquo for directing this video. The rating would be a solid 9/10.
2. Sojay- Fook You: This is another video I won’t spill much ink on because this is the perfect video for this song anything less than this would have been a no no for me. Though I must say that this video isn’t that suitable for kids but hey you can’t take away the fact that Jassy Generation did a wonderful job on this. The rating for this video would 8/10.
3. Flavour- Dance: In as much as like the concept of this video I am sorry to say it lacks originality, I felt like I was watching a cover video of Justin Bieber's Sorry. The effects were cool, the costumes were top notch, I love the whole native materials that were displayed but I seriously have an issue with the dance steps, I believe they should have done more of African steps, which for me would have made this video stand out. The rating for this Clarence shot video would be 6/10.
4. Ice Prince- Season: There is something about the darkness in this video that makes it very cool and just like the song the director made sure the video remain cool. Very simple video, no much scene and no unnecessary effect, not a bad effort from UA.iMAGES and the rating for this video would be 7/10.
5. Erigga- Monkey Kill Monkey: If there is one thing I always like about an Erigga's video its the fact that he always transfer the ruggedity or should I say the street-ness in the song to the video. Very simple scenes which were up to the tempo of the song itself and that didn't dull the video. The rating for the A2 Films video would be 7/10.
6. Runtown X Wizkid- Lagos To Kampala: Once again I clap my hands for Sesan for the concept and the way he directed this video. I haven’t been able to understand most of Sesan-directed videos but this I get perfectly. Every scene and every effect were so on point and I must say for this video he nailed it. The rating would be 8/10.
7. Skales- I Want You: I know many of you would be of the view that is a great video but I am sorry to disappoint, this video is just on a average level. I mean don’t get me wrong, I like the video, I like the ending part where the three girls were doing that Alkyida dance steps and where all the guys and girls were also dancing aside that I believe Unlimited LA could have done more than this. The rating for this video would 6/10.
