FA Charges Dele Alli With Violent Conduct

Tottenham Dele Alli has been charged by the Football Association for an alleged act of violent conduct after appearing to punch West Brom's Claudio Yacob.  The incident occurred during the 26th minute of Albion's 1-1 Premier League draw with Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Monday evening.

Referee Mike Jones did not appear to see the incident but Alli could face a three-match suspension if found guilty of violent conduct, a punishment which would rule him out for the rest of the season. Off-the-ball incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a panel of three former elite referees

Each referee panel member will review the video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence. For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous.

Alli has until 6pm on Wednesday, April 27, to reply to the charge
