Gary Cahill Absent With Injury As England Trained On Wednesday

England's provisional Euro 2016 squad took part in an open training session at St George's Park on Wednesday evening but Gary Cahill sat out as a precaution. The Chelsea defender picked up a minor knock at the weekend and was the one absentee from training, with the exception of the players who still have club commitments.

Nick Collins of Sky Sports reported that “There were 26 names in that provisional squad which Roy Hodgson announced on Monday, eight of which we knew wouldn't be here - three from Manchester United, because of the FA Cup final, and five missing from Liverpool because of the Europa League final.https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/static.fresh8.co/assets/provider-assets/logo-skybets@2x.png?v=build-638 And it is in fact down to 17 because Gary Cahill, the Chelsea defender and the vice-captain, has got a slight knock from the weekend game with Leicester and, as a precaution, he has decided not to train

England's preparations for Euro 2016 are stepping up a gear and their first warm-up match will be on Sunday against Turkey.
