News of Jordan inking a deal to join the Chadwick Boseman-fronted actioner arrives only a day after Lupita Nyong’o had opened talks with Marvel regarding a potential role. As for Black Panther‘s latest recruit, Michael B. Jordan is fast building up a piping hot streak with Ryan Coogler following the one-two punch of Fruitvale Station and last year’s stellar franchise spinoff, Creed. As this is a Marvel production, though, expect a thick veil of secrecy to shroud Coogler and Jordan’s third collaboration for some time, but it’s understood that filming is scheduled to get underway early next year.
It’s official: Michael B. Jordan is bound for Wakanda with Chadwick Boseman and, reportedly, The Force Awakens star Lupita Nyong’o. Look for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther to prowl into theaters in time for February 2, 2018.
