#StoryTuesday: The Accident (Episode One) #TheAccident

Today we begin a new story titled THE ACCIDENT. Read below the first episode

Standing in front of the judge in the prosecution box, looking around at his friends and family who had come to support him, thinking to himself, what if I had let him go? What if I didn't chase after him?

Six Months Before

Tunde: Oh boy how far, you dey go cds today?

Chucks: Guy I never know, see you way be president dey ask me whether I dey go

Tunde: I swear I no go lie you, e be like say make I just dey house but I have to go, just like you said na me be president and my cds no be like that una mumu cds way una go just dey make noise

Chucks: hahahaha, our cds rocks, we don't have time for all those serious talks way una dey talk, we are all about the balling. Wait me make I go baff so we go move together.

Tunde: Sha do fast you know say na 9 we dey start and this is 8:30

Tunde had three months to the end of his service year so cds wasn't really a must for him anymore but as the president he had to make sure he hands over to the new president who due to some delay hasn’t been elected. So the cds he was going to was to conclude with their CDS Inspector to see how they can conduct their election so a new president can come on board just like the other cds group.I

Chucks is a batch B corp member and serves in the same PPA with Tunde, in fact they both went to the same university same class but his service was delayed and just as he was making jest of Tunde when he was being posted to Niger State, Tunde also made jest of him when he was also posted to Niger State. “hahahaha, I told you this is where they would post you” Tunde said the day Chucks called him to tell him about the posting.

Chucks wasn't really bothered that he was posted to Niger considering the fact Tunde was there, he knew that it was going to be fun and indeed it was fun. Aside camp that was kind of very boring compared to what other corpers were saying about their camp experience but immediately he left camp for his PPA everything became easy and fun as Tunde made him feel at home in a village called Takuti.

Tunde was more of a village person, he stayed more in the village but Chucks prefers to stay in the neighbouring town called Lapai. This is where they actually do their cds so after cds on Thursdays Chucks would stay with his friends in Lapai and would return to Takuti on Sunday but Tunde just love the peace in Takuti and there was something about the community and the people that he liked so much. He doesn’t go out of Takuti unless it is cds or he wants to get some food stuff in the market.

Present Day

Tunde's heart was skipping because he didn't know what the judge was going to say, he had already come to terms with the fact that he might go to jail but his fear was how long would his sentence be. The lawyers had told him that everything was going to be fine, that he shouldn’t worry but this was Tunde’s first time in a court room and he was really scared and lot of negative thought was going through his head.
