Andriy Shevchenko has
admitted that he would point AC Milan
in fellow Ukrainian Andriy Yarmolenko's
direction as the club look to strengthen their squad after yet another below
par season. Having finished eighth in Serie A in 2014, and 10th in 2015, the
Rossoneri came a disappointing seventh this year with just 57 points to their
name, while Juventus won the title
with 91.
Shevchenko
has suggested that the Italian club should raid Dynamo Kiev for Yarmolenko, like they did for him in 1999. Speaking
to Milan Channel, the striker said “In
Ukraine we have Yarmolenko, who I like a lot. He plays wide on the right but he
can also play on the left and he will become a good player. nI would point Milan
in his direction”.
Yarmolenko has a contract with Dynamo until June 2020, and the 26years old who has 58 caps for his country, scoring 24 goals netted 13 in 23 league games during the 2015-2016 season.
