Arsenal Loans Midfielder Jon Toral

 

Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral has joined Granada on a season-long loan, the Spanish club has revealed. The Spaniard is yet to play a senior game for Arsenal but has impressed in loan spells with Sky Bet Championship clubs Brentford and Birmingham City.

Toral, who came through the youth ranks at Barcelona, joined Brentford for the 2014-15 season and scored six goals, making the majority of his 34 appearances from the bench. He stayed in England's second tier last season and enjoyed more of a regular starting role with Birmingham City.

Toral started 28 games, making 36 total appearances, for Gary Rowett's side and scored eight league goals. The 21-year-old now gets the chance in La Liga with Granada, who narrowly avoided relegation last season when finishing 16th, just a point outside the bottom three.
