Sony Chief Confirms Ghostbusters Sequel

 

Sony’s president of worldwide distribution believes there is no doubt about Paul Feig’s fresh-faced ‘Busters reuniting in the near future for a full-blown sequel. Although Ghostbusters fought off competition to earn a relatively respectful $46 million domestically, Sony’s Rory Bruer believes it’s all but certain that Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig and even Chris Hemsworth will reprise their respective roles for a sophomore effort.

He said “The ‘Ghostbusters’ world is alive and well, I expect ‘Ghostbusters’ to become an important brand and franchise. While nothing has been officially announced yet, there’s no doubt in my mind it will happen.”

Ghostbusters is now available in theaters across the globe.
