YES!! DJ Obi Completes His Quest For The Longest Disc-Jockeying Ever

After 229 hours and 58 minutes of straight DJing, Nigeria’s DJ Obi Ajuonuma has finally set a new world record as he brings his ten-day attempt to a close due to medical advice, at 1:28pm on Saturday, July 2, 2016.

DJ Obi set out to smash the current Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Club DJing previously set at 200 hours with a 240-hour, ten-day set beginning at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22 and ending at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016.

Tonight a party will however be held in his honour to celebrate his remarkable feat from 9pm at Sao Cafe, Lekki, the venue of the successful record attempt.
Celebrity friends and people who have supported DJ Obi throughout the past ten days will be in attendance as, Nigerian rapper, M.I. hosts the party.
At 229 hours and 58 minutes, he has DJed for longer than the current world record as he hopes to have an official announcement and verification by the Guiness World Records team as soon as possible.
