Donald Glover Might Play Young Lando Calrissian

 

A couple of days ago we told you that Lucasfilm was on the hunt for an actor to play a young version of Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff film, which is being developed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Now, Birth.Movies.Death believes that they know who the studio’s top choice is, and it appears to be none other than Donald Glover.

We’re not sure if an offer has gone out yet, or if there’s even any interest from Glover, but it’s certainly an exciting prospect. The actor recently proved his chops once again in The Martian and with a role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, it’s clear that his big screen career is about to really take off.

Those familiar with Lando will know full well that Glover would be a great fit, as he has charisma and humor in spades and could provide a thoroughly enjoyable take on a younger version of the iconic character. We imagine him and Alden Ehrenreich, who’s playing Han, would have excellent chemistry as well.
