News On Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4

 

A couple of months ago we reported on some Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 4 character breakdowns, and it came to light that Marvel and ABC were looking to cast an actress to play a “very attractive” robot named Aida. Now, TV Line has revealed that the actress in question will be Australian Mallory Jansen.

Aida was actually first introduced in the closing moments of the season 3 finale, when Dr. Holden Radcliffe uploaded his LMD (Life Model Decoy) Phase 1 and had a little chat with the mysterious new AI. This character is presumably based on AIDA (Artificial Intelligence Data Analyser) from Marvel’s early Squadron Supreme comics, but whether she’ll wind up aiding our heroes or becoming an Ultron-like menace remains to be seen.

Jansen joins fellow season 4 newcomers Parminder Nagra, Lilli Birdsell, Jason O’Mara as the new Director, and Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its fourth season on Tuesday, September 20th.
