Passports Of Three Irish Olympic Officials Seize

Brazilian police have seized passports, computers, mobile phones and tickets from three Olympic Council of Ireland members. The OCI confirmed in a statement on Sunday that, following the raid on their offices and accommodation in Rio, police had found an allocation of unused Rio 2016 tickets, which had been made available for athletes' families and friends.

The three men, who have not yet been named, will be questioned on Tuesday as part of an investigation into a scheme to resell Games tickets at inflated prices. The probe has already led to the detention of Ireland's International Olympic Committee member Pat Hickey, who is being held at Rio's notorious Bangu maximum security prison.

Hickey was arrested in a dawn raid at his hotel on Wednesday, in connection with the unauthorised resale of Olympic tickets. The 71years old was admitted to Rio's Samaritano hospital for chest pain after his arrest and was released the next day into custody.
