Joker Might Not Feature In Justice League

It’s no secret that Jared Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime, a character who had amassed a staggering amount of hype and excitement going into the August release, was fairly underserved in Suicide Squad, with much of the Joker said to be relegated to deleted scenes as David Ayer’s vision for Task Force X was nipped and tucked.

Reports of Leto’s at times bonkers method acting only lumped fuel on that fire, although if you’re holding out hope that we’ll see that garish, bat-shit insane smile light up the big screen in 2017, think again – contrary to previous rumours, it looks like there’s no part for the Joker in next year’s Justice League, cameo or not.

Cutting through frenzied speculation, reporter and all-round industry sleuth Umberto Gonzalez took to Twitter to cool those rumours of Joker making a cameo opposite DC’s finest heroes. He tweeted “Sorry DC fanboys. Yesterday’s rumor that surfaced about Jared Leto being in JUSTICE LEAGUE? Unfortunately, not true. #DEADED
