Justice League is shaping up to be a “totally different film”

Thanks to both Nocturnal Animals and the Arrival, Toronto’s ongoing film festival is shaping up to be fairly massive for one Amy Adams. In previewing the event, Variety hosted the Batman V Superman star to discuss her upcoming slate, along with her early impressions of the DC Extended Universe.

Without question, the one tidbit that will pique the curiosity of comic book fans involves Justice League, which Adams claimed is shaping up to be a totally different film to Zack Snyder’s widely derided Dawn of Justice

Pigeonholed early on for its messy plot structure and pacing problems, Zack Snyder’s monolithic tentpole seemed to be fighting a losing battle as soon as the review embargo lifted, and here Amy Adams expressed some sympathy for the filmmaker, noting that: “I just felt for Zack. Zack’s like the nicest person ever, and to see him kind of talked about like that was really hard for me, because he’s really such a respectful director.”

Justice League, emerging from something of a creative overhaul at Warner Bros., is booked in to arrive in theaters as a sole blockbuster on November 17, 2017.
