New Image From Supergirl Season 2

 

Season two of Supergirl is significant for a number of reasons, though chief among them has to be the fact that the Man of Steel is finally about to enter Kara Danvers’ world. Superman was teased all throughout the show’s first year and Tyler Hoechlin is set to don the cape and shield when the series returns.

While The CW has already released a promo image of the two heroes standing side by side, the first official still from season two offers up a look at them together in the DC TV Universe. Regardless of whether or not you enjoy Supergirl, seeing these two icons together like this should be a real treat for comic book fans, especially as it’s fair to say that no one ever expected Superman to make an appearance on the show due to the fact that Henry Cavill currently plays him on the big screen.

Between Superman’s arrival and rumours that the events of Flashpoint will have brought Kara to the same world as Green Arrow and The Flash, there are a lot of reasons to look forward to Supergirl when it reaches The CW next month, so be sure to stay tuned for further updates as we get closer to that October 10th premiere
