Stoke City manager Mark Hughes Fined £8,000

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has been fined £8,000 after he accepted the standard punishment following an FA misconduct charge. The Welshman admitted that his behaviour in or around the 34th minute of the Premier League game against Tottenham on September 10 amounted to improper conduct.

Hughes was sent to the stands by referee Anthony Taylor in the first half of Stoke's 4-0 defeat to Spurs at the bet365 Stadium. Hughes was furious with Taylor's decision to book forward Marko Arnautovic for diving and was dismissed for verbally abusing the fourth official Jon Moss.

The 52years old, who was also unhappy about what he thought was a foul on Jon Walters, accepted after the game he had overstepped the mark, saying he was disappointed by his reaction.
