We Are Ready For Barcelona - Tom Rogic

Tom Rogic says Celtic are wary of a Barcelona side reeling from a shock defeat at the weekend but insists they are ready for the challenge on Tuesday night. Brendan Rodgers' side head into the Champions League Group C opener at the Nou Camp on the back of a 5-1 win over Rangers on Saturday, while, hours later, an under-strength Barca lost 2-1 to newly-promoted Alaves in La Liga.

The Australia midfielder knows the Catalan giants will have all their top stars back for the visit of Celtic but says his side go into the match full of confidence.

He said “They are one of the best sides in the world, we are aware of the quality they have individually and as a squad. Obviously it wasn't ideal for them but they are a top side and they will want to bounce back so we are wary of that and ready for the challenge. We know it is going to be difficult but we are full of confidence at the moment and we have reasons to believe that we have qualities to get the result. We performed well at the weekend and momentum has been building for some time. We are in a good place at the moment and we are ready to come here. t is something to look forward to and enjoy. Nights like tomorrow night are why we play football. It will be a special occasion.”
