Welcome to
another fresh episode of #AHMusicReview
Absolute Hearts Music Review and
like we normally do we serve you with the best of not just new music but also
we criticize, analyse and rate those particular sets of new songs.
Here are the
songs for this week:
1. Dammy Krane ft Davido X Shatta Wale -Gbetti: Honestly I would say I am not impressed with Dammy Krane, like for real what is going on, this song would have been a good song if the chorus was on point. Dammy always have good choruses and hooks but this isn’t one of it. As for me the positive thing in this song is Shatta Wale's verse and of course the production which is why the rating would be 6/10.
2. Phenom ft. Ice Prince X Reminisce - I Don't F#ck With Everyone: Ironically I was listening to a song by Phenom when I came across this song and as I listened I was impressed that yes he has been gone for a while but the fire in him still remains the same. Lovely joint and of course Ice and Reminisce did their part, the rating would be 9/10.
3. Olamide – Orobo: I only have one thing to say about this song, Young John is wicked chai, the creativity behind this production na die. How Olamide blended in can still be debatable but no questioning about the beat, you just have to like it and that panda thing. The rating would 7/10.
4. Seriki -Federal-Sars (Informant): Nice beat and cool production, I must say that Seriki knows how to make a song like-able and he did that with this song. Not a bad effort at all I must say as the rating would be 7/10.
5. Mr-Eazi-Ft.-Terry-G -Skin-Tight Remix: Okay I would only talk about Terry G, because we already know that Mr. Eazi did justice to the song. Terry G was really impressive, I mean I didn’t hear the whole noisy Terry G feeling, he blended in well, I didn’t even hear the bell and that's just to show you how low key Terry was. The rating 8/10.
6. Kcee ft Tekno –Tender: Not a bad song I must say, as expected Tekno came through and Kcee well was Kcee. The rating would be 7/10.
7. Samklef - Ijo Olowo: Chai Samklef has killed me with this song, this is a banger, alujo to classic. Some days ago, Orezi went back to the drawing board and gave us Call The Police in the usual Orezi pattern that he came out with. Now Samklef is coming out with the same fire he had when he started out with Wizkid. This for me would be my Samklef's evergreen. The rating na 10 to sure.
8. Oriste Femi -Ongba Larami: This song would have been a hit for me but Oriste Femi spoil am with the noise, I mean the noise at the beginning is just too much but if you would put that aside, this song is a jam of life and the beat is deadly. The rating would be 7/10.
9. Timaya - How Many Times: I never thought I would say this so soon but make I swallow my pride and say this; Timaya try for this song, I haven’t been this impress with him in a long while. Decent effort and the rating would be 8/10.
