Domhnall Gleeson Joins Peter Rabbit Movie

Sony’s Peter Rabbit movie, one which will incorporate CGI and live-action elements, has welcomed Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson into its ranks. Gleeson has landed the part of menacing farmer Mr. McGregor in this new spin on Beatrix Potter’s cherished children’s book.

Host of The Late Late Show James Corden will lend his vocal chords to the title role of Peter, and will be joined in the recording booth by Daisy RidleyElizabeth Debicki.

No word yet on which story Sony’s Peter Rabbit will tap into or whether the studio, which is partnering with VFX experts Animal Logic, will craft an original story that lifts inspiration from a handful of Potter’s narratives like, say, The Dark Tower adaptation. Production on Peter Rabbit is set to commence Down Under soon after the turn of the year though, with Sony eyeing an April 2018 release date.
