FA Charge Hull City Striker, Adama Diomande, With Violent Conduct

Adama Diomande has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association following an incident during Tuesday’s EFL Cup tie against Bristol City.  Harry Maguire and Michael Dawson scored headers either side of half-time to send Hull through to the quarter-finals as they won 2-1 at Ashton Gate. Hull's win earned them a home tie against Newcastle.

Diomande was involved in a clash with Robins midfielder Marlon Pack in the 90th minute as the two players ran away from the Hull goal following an unsuccessful Bristol City attack. Hull forward Diomande appeared to take a swipe at Pack as he ran across him on the edge of the box and the FA has decided the incident amounts to violent conduct.

An FA statement read “It is alleged that Diomande's behaviour in or around the 90th minute of the fixture constitutes violent conduct.”
