Legion’s Premiere Date In New Promo

Legion would premiere on FX in early 2017, but the promo below reveals that what to expect the Marvel series to hit the channel in February. There’s lots of new footage from the show in the video as well, and it’s clear that this is probably going to be unlike any other Marvel Comics drama currently available on TV or online streaming services.

Legion introduces the story of David Haller, who since he was a teenager, has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

Created by Noah Hawley, Legion stars Dan Stevens in the title role and has an impressive ensemble cast made up of names like Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza and Jean Smart. The project is pretty unique, too, especially as Marvel and Fox have teamed up to make it a reality. However, it won’t be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it does look set to be loosely connected to the X-Men Universe.
