Southgate Might Recall Marcus Rashford Back To England Squad

 

Gareth Southgate will name his first England squad on Sunday and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is set for a recall. Southgate has been placed in temporary charge of the Three Lions after a tumultuous week in which Sam Allardyce was forced out of his role.

Southgate has been promoted from the England U21s on an interim basis for the final four matches of 2016 and on Sunday will name his 23-man squad for the World Cup Qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia.

Rashford appears certain to be involved, having been omitted from the England U21 squad which was announced on Thursday. The 18years old scored a hat-trick for England U21s under Southgate during the last international break and has found the net in three of his last four games for United.
