Director Tim Miller To Work On 'Sonic The Hedgehog' Movie

Director Tim Miller has landed himself a new gig over at Sony, where he’ll help the studio develop a Sonic the Hedgehog film. The report tells us that the project is taking the shape of a hybrid CG-animated/live-action family movie, which will be exec produced by Miller. The director’s longtime collaborator, Jeff Fowler, will be the one behind the camera here, making his directorial debut.

Neal H. Mortiz will produce alongside Miller, and in a press release sent out, here’s what he had to say about the news “Tim and Jeff are incredibly talented filmmakers and I’m thrilled to partner with them to help bring their exciting vision for Sonic to life.”

No word yet on what the plot will entail nor who will be cast as the titular gaming icon, but with Miller now coming on board, you can expect Sony to start making more moves on their Sonic the Hedgehog adaptation in the very near future.
