Shooting Stars deny resigning Fatai Amoo as head coach

 

Shooting Stars have debunked reports they are set to hire Fatai Amoo as their new head coach, Amoo who handled the Ibadan-based side from 2009 to 2011 was rumoured to be on his way back to the club as replacement for Gbenga Ogunbote who is reporting being courted by Enyimba.

The former Nigeria Professional Football League champions stated on their official Twitter handle that they have no link with the former Julius Berger coach.. 3SC are facing a difficult task in their bid to keep Ogunbote who has enjoyed two decent spells at the club, steering them out of relegation on both occasions.

It remains to be seen if they will be able to convince the former Sunshine Stars coach to stay at the club.
