Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, has described the Blues as a different team
since their defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool earlier this season following
their hard-fought 2-1 win against Tottenham
Hotspur on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea's winning streak came under threat
when Spurs took the lead through Christian
Eriksen but goals from Pedro
Rodriguez and Victor Moses in
each half, secured the win, and condemned Spurs to their first league
defeat this season. Also, the win move Chelsea back to the top of the log
on 31 points, ahead of Liverpool and Manchester
City who are on 30 points each and are second and third respectively.
He said “It was a big test for sure. Tottenham is a
really good team with great organization, today they started better than us…
Then I liked our reaction. It wasn't easy to react on this way. Pedro's goal
was a fantastic finish which gave us the right confidence. In the second
half, we exploited a situation we didn't exploit in the first half.
When you win this type of game, a special derby, you must be pleased. From
tomorrow, it's important to think of the next game. We are another team
compared to (when we played) Liverpool and Arsenal. I am pleased for the
players, we have another type of confidence and are working a lot. They enjoy
this type of football”
