FC IfeanyiUbah winger, Prince Aggreh believes the team can win more laurels in the
upcoming season following their Charity Cup victory against Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
The
Federation Cup winners won the tie 4-3 on penalties despite playing most of the
encounter with 10-men. It was their first win in five games against their
oriental rivals who won the Nigeria Professional Football League title last
season.
Aside
from looking to win their first NPFL title, the Anambra Warriors will also seek
to become the first Nigerian side to win the CAF Confederation Cup title this
year. Former Sunshine Stars player, Aggreh is upbeat the Anambra Warriors can
do more in the new season.
He said “It was great winning the Charity Cup at the
expense of a good side like Rangers, we didn't do well in the Super Four
competition, but we showed how good we are by winning the game despite playing
with 10 players. It is a good morale booster ahead of the new season and I'm
confident we will do better than we did last season.”
