Gorilla Grodd Makes A Return In The Flash

Gorilla Grodd has always been one of the most enjoyable recurring villains in The Flash, and as the show’s budget has increased, so too has the amount of screen time that the CGI bad guy receives. When the series returns in a fortnight from now, the character will be taking centre stage in a two-part event that The CW’s billing as “Gorilla City.”

While it appears as if Grodd will indeed clash with the Fastest Man Alive, the psychic gorilla actually wants his help to stop Earth-1 from being invaded by the intelligent community of his kind, which is based on Earth-2, the home of Harrison “Harry” Wells and his speedster daughter, Jesse Quick.

For more on what to expect from this instalment of The Flash – titled “Attack on Gorilla City” – here’s the official synopsis: “When Jesse Quick informs the team that her father has been abducted, Barry, Caitlin, Cisco and Julian voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd. Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar , the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs.”

Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing and David Kob.
