Nigerian government recovers more loot of N7bn, $15m and N1bn - Lai Mohammed

Nigeria's Minister of Information And Culture, Lai Mohammed, has announced that the Federal Government has recovered yet another loot from bank accounts with fake names stating that the new recovery was made possible because of the Federal Government's whistle-blower policy.
Premium Times reports that the looted funds were recovered based on actionable information given to the office of the Minister of Justice by whistle-blowers.

“The biggest amount of $136.7 million was recovered from an account in a commercial bank, where the money was kept under an apparently fake account name,”

“This was  followed by N7 billion and 15 million dollars from another person and  N1 billion from yet another.”

”Yet whatever has been recovered so far, including the $9.2 million by the EFCC, is just a tip of the iceberg,” he said
The minister also concluded in saying there was massive looting of public funds in the last administration under former president Goodluck Jonathan's watch.
