Audu Maikori's family 'banned' from seeing him in detention

According to TheNETng, Audu Maikori has spent over 36 hours in detention following his second arrest by the Nigerian Police, after which he was transported to Kaduna State on Friday, March 10. The Chocolate City boss is being held at the Gabasawa Police Station, Kaduna State and his family, friends and colleagues are reportedly ‘barred’ from visiting him.

He is expected to appear in a Kaduna federal court on Monday, March 13, for incitement over the recent southern Kaduna killings. His case would be handled by the state’s Attorney General.
Maikori had earlier claimed that five students of College of Education, GidanWaya, Kaduna State, were killed in the conflict in southern Kaduna. He later retracted the comments, stating that he was misinformed by his personal driver.
Things are not looking fine this time like it was when he was first transported to the DSS Headquarters in Abuja last month.
Concerned Nigerians continue to show support via social media, as they patiently await the judgment, following Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai’s claims that Audu will be prosecuted for the act he found ‘irresponsible’.
Audu Maikori reportedly collapsed on March 7 while taking pictures with attendees at a Lagos event.
The entertainment lawyer, whose management said he needed medical attention, was arrested three days later and transported to Kaduna.
