Battle For Who To Direct 'Suicide Squad 2' Continues

According to a report from Meet the Movie Press, Jaume-Collet Serra is the latest candidate in the mix for Suicide Squad 2. Should a deal place, the filmmaker will be working from a script penned by Adam Cozad.

Jaume-Collet Serra cropped up in conversation amid the ongoing episode of MTMP, where reporter Jeff Sneider named-dropped as a potential candidate for the gig. It should be noted that this merely indicates that Serra is one of many filmmakers currently populating Warner’s wishlist which has also made room for Ruben Fleischer, Jonathan Levine, Daniel Espinosa and Mel Gibson.

Suicide Squad 2 is simmering in the nascent stages of development for now, but with the rumor mill operating at full tilt, we fully expect to catch wind of the sequel’s director in the coming months.
