“I Am Not Looking That Far Ahead” Says Shakespeare As Leicester Management Open Talks

Leicester interim boss Craig Shakespeare will hold talks with the club's hierarchy next week over who will become their next permanent manager. After Claudio Ranieri's sacking last week, Shakespeare oversaw the Foxes' 3-1 dismantling of Liverpool and has been asked to take charge of the game against Hull this weekend.
Shakespeare met with vice-chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and director of football Jon Rudkin on Wednesday and says he is being kept informed of their search for Ranieri's successor.


He said “I am not looking that far ahead. I'm sure the owners will give me their views after the game. I'm being kept informed. I've been informed that we'll sit down after that. We sat down on Wednesday with the vice-chairman and the director of football, and it was just to ask me if I would take the game this week, which I agreed to. I don't (have any new info on next manager). I'll leave that to the powers that be. I've just been asked to take the next game. The remit is; prepare the game for Hull, see if we can get the same result and three points. I'm quite comfortable with that.”
