Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare says he has been impressed with Wilfred Ndidi since the Nigeria
midfielder arrived at the King Power Stadium in January. Ndidi who has
barely put a foot wrong since completing a £15m move from
Belgian side Genk in January has
surpassed the expectations of his manager, settling in well at the club.
The
Nigerian international has made 12 appearances in all competitions for
Leicester and has scored once.
Shakespeare
said “Ndidi has a huge future in the
game, he is looking the part. He is a young boy but he has settled in really
well. I think he has a huge future in the game. There was a lot of interest in
him from other clubs but he was high on the list of our recruitment team and,
in the end, we did really well to get him. He will be a big player for us. I
think he will be a big player for us. He is made-to-measure for this league but
he is humble and his personality is suited to our football club. He is easy to
manage.
