Sunderland manager David Moyes has submitted his written
observations to the FA about remarks he made to a female reporter. Moyes made
the comments to BBC reporter
Vicki Sparks following an interview
she conducted with the Sunderland boss after the Black Cats' with Burnley last
month.
After the
interview concluded, Moyes said to Sparks “It
was getting a wee bit naughty at the end there, so just watch yourself. You
still might get a slap, even though you're a woman. Careful the next time you come in.”Moyes has said that he deeply regrets the comments and has since apologised to Sparks. Having received his written observations, the FA must now decide whether or not to charge the former Everton boss.
