Janet Mcteer To Appear In Jessica Jones Season 2

Jessica Jones, the Krysten Ritter-led solo series that’s currently gearing up for its sophomore season. Details are scarce regarding the show’s return, EW brings word of the first major casting addition: Janet McTeer. 

The two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner has signed on to play an undisclosed character opposite Ritter, one who will purportedly have an enormous impact on Jessica’s life. Melissa Rosenberg welcomed the addition of McTeer with open arms, stating: “We couldn’t possibly be more excited to work with Ms. McTeer for our second season. Her gravitas and authenticity are the perfect ingredients for all we’re trying to create this year. She disappears into roles, gives her characters extraordinary dimension and depth. We’re incredibly fortunate to be able to collaborate with her.”

Jessica Jones season 2 is expected to begin filming imminently in New York City.
