Manchester United winger
Jesse Lingard has signed a new
four-year contract with the club, with the option of a further year. United
confirmed the news on Thursday afternoon, it is understood that his wages will
treble to about £100,000 a week as a consequence of the new agreement.
The 24years
old joined United's youth academy when he was seven and he was given his first
professional contract in 2011. He established himself in the first-team squad
last season under Louis van Gaal,
having previously spent time on loan at Leicester
City, Birmingham City, Brighton and
Derby County.He made his first-team debut at Old Trafford against Swansea City on the opening day of the 2014/2015 season and has gone on to make 70 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
