Luis Enrique Says He Would Go For A Year Sabbatical

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has revealed he will take a year-long sabbatical from football at the end of the season. Enrique, who announced last month that he would be leaving the club, said he wants to take a break due to tiredness.

Luis Enrique could mark his final season at the Spanish giants with more trophies as the club could go top of La Liga with victory against fourth-placed Sevilla, who are without a win in their past five games. They have a Champions League quarter-final against Juventus on the horizon following their stunning comeback to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the last round, and are in next month's Copa Del Rey final against Alaves.

Speaking ahead of the La Liga clash with Sevilla on Wednesday, he said “If I'm leaving Barcelona, my home, where I have a great relationship with the club and the players, it's purely for tiredness. I need to recover. I'm not thinking about other teams. It will be a year to recover, but now what's left to do is to end the season with all our objectives achieved.”
