Watford boss Walter Mazzarri is taking a careful
approach to the end of the season, saying that his Hornets side will not be
safe from relegation until the maths says
so. Mazzarri watched on at Vicarage Road as Etienne Capoue's goal three minutes before half-time secured three
points and saw his side hit the sacred 40 Premier League points total.
The Hornets
remain 10th after the narrow victory, with five games left to play and though
they are now 12 points clear of Swansea
the Italian is not allowing himself, or his players, to get ahead of
themselves.
He said “No we are not safe because until the numbers
and the maths say so, we are not safe. From the beginning I've always said that
I want to get as far as possible, so I don't want my teams to relax; I want my
team to get into the mentality that we can get as far as possible this season.”
