Margot
Robbie is in another project to add to her
bustling slate and project is titled Dreamland, a taut thriller set during the height
of The Dust Bowl (AKA the Dirty Thirties) circa 1930.
Mining inspiration from Nicolaas Zwart’s Black List script, Margot
Robbie has closed a deal to produce and star in Dreamland, which chronicles the story of a “15-year old boy on his quest to capture a
fugitive bank robber and collect the bounty on her head, all with the goal with
saving his family farm from foreclosure. Against all odds, he beats out the FBI
and the local police to find her, only to discover that she’s far more than
what the authorities claim her to be.”
Robbie is on board to play said bank
robber, with Miles Joris-Peyrafitte
attached to direct. No further casting details were disclosed, but with Cannes
Film Festival right around the corner, expect more news to surface very soon
indeed.
