New cast update on the 'Aquaman' movie

Warner Bros. recently announced that DC Comics adaptation Aquaman has started shooting, but it appears as if there are a few cast members that the studio failed to mention in the press release.
Black Manta actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II took to Twitter to share photos of himself and director James Wan meeting with Indigenous Elders and youths in Australia, but spotted right between them both is Michael Beach. The duo were there obtaining the group’s blessing to shoot on their land, but the fact that these two specific actors were shown together has led to a lot of speculation online.

Beach could be playing Black Manta’s father. In the comic books, he was killed by a young Arthur Curry by mistake after he and his son attacked Aquaman’s father. This led to Manta having a lifelong hatred of the Atlantean which ultimately made him suit up as a supervillain.  Nothing has been confirmed in regards to this just new rumour yet.

Aquaman is set to be released next December and is currently the studio’s only DC Comics adaptation coming in 2018.
