Nigeria Football Federation Secure Nigerian Passport For Two Foreign Based Players

Ademola Olajire the spokesman of the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that the football house has secured international passports for Hannover 96 Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee and Chelsea Ola Aina. The duo were born abroad to Nigerian parents, but after talks with coach of the Nigeria team they have both pledged their international future to Nigeria ahead of their land of birth.

Aina was born in England and has represented them at various youth level but he will now henceforth represent Nigeria at senior level. Bazee was born in Germany but pledged his international future to Nigeria after a breakthrough season with Hannover 96. However for the duo to be part of the Nigerian team in competitive teams, they need to be in possession of a Nigerian passport, which according to the NFF is now a thing of the past.

Aside the duo, the NFF also confirmed that talks over a Nigerian passport for Tammy Abraham, the Chelsea youngster who took the English Championship by storm during his loan spell with Bristol City is progressing nicely.

He said “The coach does not want to take any chances, so he has a list of players he would be relying on to play the matches. The Nigerian football federation has secured Nigerian passport for Ola Aina, Joel Bazee. We are working on that of Tammy Abrahams and others. We want the best players in the national team, so we are not taking any chances at all.”‎
